Universal Varnish (Aerospray) - 400 ml

Non-yellowing and age-resistant colourless final varnish. Fast-drying.

Provides elastic and resistant protection for all Schmincke and other artists’ acrylic, oil and gouache colours. Also suitable for art prints, inkjet prints, photos and similar surfaces used in indoor applications.
We strongly recommend pretesting before use.

Apply to oil paintings only when all colour layers are thoroughly dried (after 8-12 months at the earliest). The dry varnish layer remains soluble in oil of turpentine and turpentine substitute. Shake well before useand spray at room temperature by moving the can from one side to the other side and from top to bottom holding the can 30-40 cm from the object, which is placed vertical or slightly inclined. Repeat process when dry until you achieve the desired surface effect. Clean clogged spray heads using acetone. Use only for the purpose intended. Dispose of only when empty.

Ready-to-use solution of Paraloid B72 in ethyl acetate. Useful as a transparent varnish, to consolidate wood, etc.

Schmincke Crackle varnish 2

Medium for crackle finishes in combination with Schmincke RAPID undercoat 1. gives an antique look to acrylic and oil paintings, but also paper (e.g. art prints), wood, glass, metal or plaster.

Crackle varnish 2 is ready for use, but if neccessary it can be diluited with water. It remains water-soluble after getting dry.

Short application instructions:

Apply on RAPID undercoat 1 to the still slightly tacky undercoat. The cracks appear during the drying process, which takes few hours.

Zapon varnish

Crystal clear, glossy, rapid drying protective varnish on nitrocellulose basis (NC-varnish). Protects metal objects against oxidation and corrosion. Specially suited for protection of silver foil, schlag metal, artistic objects, coins, frames. Can also be applied on wooden surfaces, paper, cardboard, etc.

Diluition: NC-thinner

Nitro thinner (nitrocellulose thinner)

Thinner for nitrocellulose-based (NC) paints such as zapon varnish or for general cleaning purposes.
